Junior ranking
Buying boxing gloves for a child is similar to buying them for an adult with one major difference: the glove must protect, but it also must not push the child away from training. A glove that feels too heavy, too stiff or badly sized can turn classes into a chore very quickly. That is why comfort, easy fit and predictable protection mattered more than giant branding.

This ranking is for parents and coaches looking for gloves for children starting boxing, kickboxing or general striking classes. Comfort and safety mattered most because the worst possible move at this stage is buying gear that feels heavy and discouraging.
We did not compare exotic fight gear or junior gloves that barely exist in the Polish market. We wanted products that can be bought normally, tried on quickly and used in a club without import games.
If the child already trains regularly and has settled into classes, Everlast Prospect 2 Youth is the strongest option here. It feels the most complete and safest of the group. If training is still at the early stage, Masters Kids and StormCloud Bolt Kids are both strong because they fit the first-budget reality much better.
RDX Robo sits between those worlds. It is comfortable, light and easy to like, but once training frequency rises, the desire to upgrade usually appears faster.
We selected four gloves that cover the real shopping scenarios: a first trial glove, a strong budget option, a step-up glove for regular club use and a more complete glove for a child who clearly intends to keep training.

The key lesson is not to buy a glove that is too large simply because the child may grow into it. In junior training, fit and natural hand work matter more than parental ambition.
For junior gloves we focused on three things. First, whether the child can close the hand naturally. Second, whether the cuff stabilizes without weighing the wrist down in a bad way. Third, whether the foam protects enough on first pads without making the glove feel like a brick.
We also judged everyday club practicality: quick putting-on, low training friction and a sensible price relative to how long the glove will realistically serve a young athlete.
The biggest mistake is buying a glove that is too large just so it lasts longer. That makes the hand float, changes how the child closes the fist and tires the wrist much faster. The second mistake is choosing a very stiff pseudo-fight glove only because it looks more serious.
The third mistake is ignoring how the child reacts after the first week. If the glove annoys, pinches or discourages training, even the best brand will not fix the experience.
The best junior glove is not the one that looks most aggressive, but the one that gives comfort, safety and a reason to come back to training.
Winner
Winner: Everlast Prospect 2 Youth — the most complete protection
In the junior segment, this model combines protection, sensible shape and wrist confidence most convincingly. It is not the first choice for every budget, but in training terms it feels the most mature.
FAQ
Choose a glove that is light, comfortable and safe enough not to scare the child away with a stiff build. At the first stage, comfort, sizing and a calm profile matter more than a flashy look.
