Type comparison
When people search for kickboxing shin guards, they are often not looking for a brand yet. They are really asking whether they should buy a full guard with foot coverage or a lighter elastic option. Both make sense, but not at the same stage of training.

This comparison is for athletes choosing between two types of guard rather than only between brands. It fits beginners, returning kickboxers and MMA athletes who suddenly start taking more low kicks in class.
The key question is simple: is a light elastic guard enough, or is it already time for a full model? Most bad buying decisions start with mixing those use cases up.
If training is still mostly technical and light, an elastic guard can be enough. As soon as regular sparring enters the week, a full guard almost always becomes the better choice.
This is not only about foam thickness. Full guards also win on stability, foot coverage and confidence once the kicks start landing properly.
We lined up three full guards and three elastic ones to show what each side of the decision actually gives you. That makes the comparison practical instead of theoretical.

Pros
Cons
Phase 1: editorial card without a store link.
Typical price: ok. 40-55 złFull guards win on safety, elastic guards win on mobility and price. If you can only choose one direction, the right answer depends on whether sparring is already part of your week or still ahead of you.
We watched leg stability, foot behavior and how quickly discomfort appears during repeated kick sequences. A guard should protect, but it should not sabotage movement.
The most common mistake is taking an elastic guard into sparring just because it feels cheaper and easier during the first fitting. The second is buying a heavy full model for light technique, then wondering why every leg recovery feels slower.
The more contact and sparring there is, the more a full guard wins. Elastic models mostly belong to technique sessions and true beginners.
Winner
Winner: Masters NS-30 — full guard once contact rises
There is no universal answer in the full versus elastic debate, but once regular sparring enters the plan, a full guard wins on safety. NS-30 is the clearest Polish-market example of that logic.
FAQ
Yes if your training includes regular contact and harder kicks. Elastic guards only really win on lightness and beginner simplicity.
